'Visionaris' is back: the free introductory entrepreneurship course worth 3 ECTS credits
The UAB has opened registration for the fifth edition of 'Visionaris', the introductory entrepreneurship course in which participants come up with and work on a project of their own while learning to validate its viability. The course is free, carries 3 ECTS credits and will run from 30 September to 23 November 2026, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Espai Emprèn UAB, at Plaça Cívica.
'Visionaris' is aimed mainly at UAB students, but is open to the whole university community. The course combines learning key skills — such as creativity, leadership, teamwork and risk management — with the practical application of innovation methodologies such as 'design thinking' and 'lean startup', and with the stages of setting up a business.
A hands-on journey built around a project of your own
The programme is structured in three blocks plus a closing event: introduction to entrepreneurship and tools (10 hours), work on your own project (8 hours) and the basics of setting up a business (8 hours), followed by a 'demo day' of presentations (2 hours). The whole journey revolves around validating an idea of your own, which each participant develops throughout the sessions.
The three best projects can access additional mentoring to keep developing their proposal and, where possible, reach a first prototype.
Recognition and registration
Undergraduate students who complete the course can apply for 3 ECTS credits to add to their academic record. To obtain them, participants must attend at least 80% of the 26 teaching hours and develop an entrepreneurial project proposal equivalent to 49 hours of independent work.
Sessions take place at the Espai Emprèn UAB, in Plaça Cívica, on the first floor of building RR, entering through the study room above the bar.
Registration is through the NEXUS application. Anyone who does not yet have a profile can complete a partial registration using their NIU (UAB student ID number) and password.
