MISSION

Contribute to creating a healthy, cohesive and sustainable society in a global and transforming context and respond to the needs of our economic and social environment through interdisciplinary research in sport, the transfer of knowledge and the training of professionals.

VISION

The Institute wants to become an international reference center in the field of sport research and training that:

• Promotes competitive and excellent interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, always oriented to identify future trends and solve the needs and challenges of society.
• Contributes to the development of the sports sector and industry, mainly in the UAB's area of ​​influence, through open, innovative actions that facilitate the transfer of knowledge generated by the activities of the institute's researchers.
• Promotes postgraduate and doctoral training programs that prepare students to meet professional challenges internationally and respond to the training needs of organizations in the sports sector.
• Coordinates and enhances the quality and visibility of the research talent and academic activities on sport promoted at the UAB, contributing to its international positioning.
