Governance

The UAB Sports Research Institute is governed by a Direction Team, a Constituent Executive Commission and the Institute Council.

The Direction Team is formed by the director, the secretary and the highest-ranking assigned PAS. The Institute's Constituent Executive Committee is formed by the management team and a selection of Institute members appointed by the Director. The Council is composed of all senior researchers, as well as representatives of training research staff, administrative staff and collaborators from other entities.

Doctor in Communication by the Basque Country University with Outstanding Award (2001). Director of the UAB Olympic Studies Centre since 2009. He has collaborated in the field of social networks with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and he has worked on the design of the television exhibition of the IOC Olympic Museum in Lausanne (2014). He is member of the international working group that designs the educational offer of the new International Olympic Academy. He is a regular invited lecturer to the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

Graduate in documentation and Master in organization management. She is project coordinator at the UAB Sports Research Institute. She is an expert in information and knowledge management, project management and event evaluation in the sport field. She has participated in various projects of information transfer and management commissioned by sports entities such as the International Olympic Committee or the Institut Barcelona Esports.

Maria Prat

PhD in Pedagogy and Bachelor of Physical Education. She has worked on national and international competitive projects, as a principal investigator and participant, respectively. The projects focused on values ​​in physical activity and sport, gender and diversity in the field of education. She is currently participating in research on values ​​in youth sports, bullying and the gender perspective in the media and teacher training. She is a member of the interuniversity research group GISEAFE.

Doctor in Psychology and Master in Sports Psychology. Senior researcher and former coordinator of the consolidated Research Group in Sport and Exercise Psychology (GEPE). Coordinator of the Doctorate in Health Psychology and Sports Psychology. Member of the UAB Ethics Commission on Animal and Human Experimentation. He has coordinated various research projects in sports career, career transitions and dual career.
