Minor in Portuguese Studies

Objectives

The objective of the Minor in Portuguese Studies is to offer a basic training in language and culture offering students access to linguistic and cultural diversity of Portuguese-speaking populations, while giving them the language skills and competences to be able to work effectively in professional and cultural environments in which Portuguese has a presence and essential use.

Student profile

This minor is aimed at degree students at the UAB who want to acquire competence in the Portuguese language, as well as knowledge of Portuguese cultural diversity.
This minor is not available to students from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting who have chosen Portuguese as their C language.
