Call for scientific stays to attract talent (VISIT-UAB 2025)

DESCRIPTION

Call for Proposals

Within the framework of the International Talent Attraction and Retention Project, awarded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities to promote the attraction and recruitment of high-potential international research talent, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) has launched several strategic initiatives to identify, explore, and foster new scientific collaborations that could lead to recruitment.
To expand this attraction, the UAB is launching a grant to support scientific stays to attract talent (VISIT - UAB 2025).
These grants aim to maintain and increase the attraction of international talent at the UAB.
For more information, please consult the Call.

Applicant Requirements

Applications must be submitted by departments or institutes within the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which will act as the proposing units. These units will have to identify and propose the visit of an international researcher with recognized scientific potential, in order to explore future collaboration and possible incorporation into the UAB through competitive calls such as Ramon y Cajal, ATRAE, ERC, or ICREA.
Candidates must be researchers who can prove they have resided abroad in the last two years, with an established or emerging career, without a current stable connection to the UAB, and with interest and availability to submit a competitive proposal within the framework of a highly demanding talent attraction call, with the UAB as the host institution.

The application period begins on May 20, 2025, and ends on June 20, 2025.

REQUEST
First. Fill out the electronic application form for scientific stays.

The application must be filled out and signed by the director of the department or institute.

Once completed, save the form as a PDF, download it, and sign it electronically. You can view the digital certificates recognized at the UAB on the website of the electronic office.

This application includes, as specified in the call, a summary of the proposal.

Second. This application must be submitted to the UAB Telematic Registry.

RESOLUTION
This call for proposals provides for a maximum of 24 grants. If the number of proposals exceeds this number, an evaluation panel appointed by the Research, Transfer, and Innovation Committee will select the proposals for funding based on criteria of scientific excellence and relevance to the UAB's research lines.

The Research, Transfer, and Innovation Committee plans to resolve the call for proposals on July 24, 2025.
