Catalan University Network publishes a guide for writing texts in English

The Catalan University Network has just published the Interuniversity style guide for writing institutional texts in English, with the aim of assuring the quality and consistency of all kinds of English-language documents published by the universities in the network. The guide is available in both paper and digital online formats.

It offers practical advice and tools for writing and translating institutional texts, its aim being to assure the quality and consistency of universities' English-language documents. It deals with spelling, punctuation, capitalisation, abbreviations, numbers, singular and plural, non-sexist language use, translation and text production in English.

The Interuniversity style guide for writing institutional texts in English was produced by the working group on Language Quality of the Catalan University Network. It is intended as a tool to support universities' internationalisation strategies, aimed at lecturers, researchers, administrative and service staff and language professionals. The guide is available in both paper and digital online formats.
