Registration open for the UAB's ICE new training itinerary on transformative teaching for teachers of all educational stages
The UAB Institute for Education Studies begins the academic year with a new training activity aimed at teachers from all educational stages, with recognition by the Catalan Ministry for Education. Under the name of "From challenge to opportunity: itinerary for transformative teaching", the proposal invites teachers to rethink teaching practices from a critical and ethical viewpoint, committed to today's reality. The registration period will be open until 13 October.

The sessions will be offered by experts and will combine spaces for reflection and debate with training in practical resources. José Luís Muñoz, vice-rector for Training and Teaching Innovation at the UAB, highlights that "this training proposal represents a commitment to a more inclusive and sensible education, in line with the values of social justice and teaching renovation". Edelmira Badillo, director of the ICE-UAB, affirms that this course aims to "have teachers find in this itinerary a space to rethink their practices from a critical, but also hopeful viewpoint".
The itinerary, which is a continuation of the training offered in previous courses, includes five online sessions, lasting two hours each, on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. from 21 October to 13 January. In the first session, Víctor López and Christian Negre will reflect on the impact artificial intelligence has in the classroom and its potential in terms of evaluations. On 4 November, Mariona Casas-Deseures will talk about communication in the classroom with the aim of working on strategies that can improve learning. In the third session, to be held on 18 November, Olga Armengol and Marta Masoliver will talk on the paedogogical, healthy and ethical use of technology in educational contexts. The next session, on 2 December, will include Íngrid Agud introducing the concept of intersectionality in education to promote more just and inclusive practices. And in the last session, to be held on 13 January, Íngrid Noguera will discuss personalised learning strategies.
