The objective is to raise awareness among university members on the inclusion of people with functional diversity and share inclusive experiences with all members of the UAB community.

With the objective of raising awareness among community members on the process of including persons with functional diversity and sharing experiences with the entire community, for the second year in a row the UAB organises the 2nd Artistic and Inclusive Week on campus as part of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December.

Last year, the UAB pioneered the organisation of a whole week dedicated to inclusive art. After the success of that first edition, this year the UAB will once again be holding the same week of activities, open to the general public free of charge.

The week will begin on Monday 28 November at 12 noon at the UAB Cinema Hall with the screening of the cinematographic experience Si Talía fuera ciega, followed by a round table. This half-fiction, half-documentary film, produced by the ONCE organisation, includes over 100 blind or visually impaired actors and actresses starring in 11 short stories that range from thrillers to dramas, comedies and documentaries. It is also a film searching to demonstrate that visual limitations are no impairment when it comes to forming part of audiovisual and theatrical productions.

On Tuesday 29 November at 12 noon, the UAB Theatre Hall will offer the legislative theatre play "Legaci" performed by the theatre company La Xixa Lab i la Xixa Teatre.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, members of the university community will be able to visit the co-creation of a mural on diversity by graphic artist Galleta Maria. This will take place at the Plaça Cívica (side wall of the Òptica Universitària store). All members are invited to join in the cration of the mural. On Wednesday 30 November Galleta Maria will be putting the finishing touches on the mural from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m..

On Thursday 1 December at 1 p.m., Sala 2 of the Faculty of Education (next to building G5), will play host to a participative creative process entitled La Fantasia, by ARTransforma, an organisation dedicated to fostering art and culture as a tool for social transformation.

A day to reflect and debate on these issues will mark the end of the second edition of the Artistic and Inclusive Week. On Friday 2 December at 12 noon, the conference hall of the Rectorat building will hold the institutional event in commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, organised by the UAB Observatory for Equality and the PIUNE.
