Dress up and run at UAB Solidarity Race!

Participate in the costume contest at UAB Solidarity Race, next Sunday 16 December, and win a year pass for the UAB sport facilities (SAF)!

VII UAB Solidarity Race will be held on Sunday 16 December and will support the funding of cancer research held by La Marató de TV3. People participating in this editions' race or walk will have the chance to be part of a costume contest.

The costume contest allows the participation of individuals or gorups, of a maximum of 5 participants, that will have to wear related costumes. Before the race beggins, participants will have to register for the contest at the Information Point at Vila Universitaria.

The jury, composed by a member of Community Involvement, a member of Autonomous Solidarity Foundation (FAS) and a member of UAB Communication Area, will reward "the most original and fun individual costume" and "the most attuned group costume".

In both cases the prize is a year pass for the UAB sport facilities (SAF): one for the individual prize, and maximum five for the group prize. New to this edition, the race circuit will go through Vila, and the walk will pass the Alba Sincrotron.

The donations for the UAB Solidarity Race will be destined to funding of cancer research by La Marató de TV3, one of the main causes of death among the population. UAB is developing important research on this area. It is fundamental to educate society in cooperation and obtention of funding for the reasearch in thi field, that has so much impact in our daily lives.

Run, walk, volunteer... Alone, with friends or ffamily, but don't cease to collaborate. We'll be expecting you at the UAB on 16 December!
