The seminar teaches doctoral students how to save up to 10 hours per week by using AI in literature management and data analysis
The PhD programme in Sport Sciences UAB, took part in an intensive online seminar led by Tony Estrella, an expert from the Lifestyle, Sport and Health Research Group, on March 10th and 17th. During the first day, doctoral students delved into intelligent literature mapping to identify research gaps in minutes using tools like Elicit or ResearchRabbit, and addressed custom code generation for data analysis in R and Python.
The second session focused on "Academic Prompt Engineering", an essential technique to ensure large language models act as reviewers of scientific logic rather than just grammar. The seminar also dedicated a critical space to integrity, ethics, and privacy, ensuring that the use of these tools in scientific writing meets the rigorous standards required for high-impact journal publications.
These sessions highlights IRE-UAB's commitment to providing its researchers with cutting-edge digital skills. Through this participation, the PhD programme in Sport Sciences leads the technological transformation in academia, applying innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of doctoral theses.
