3rd Meeting of the Research Network Bullying in Sport (ByD). Analysis and best practices
For the third consecutive year, on September 25 and 26, researchers Maria Prat and Evelyn Rios participated in the ByD Network meeting. The session was held at the University of Seville (US), under the coordination of the US and INEFC of Barcelona.
The session included a meeting of the group of experts from the seven universities participating in the network, and was complemented by a conference under the slogan #ConelBullyingnosejuega, open to professionals in the field of physical education and sport.
The conference was open by Dr. Miguel Nery (European University of Lisbon), followed by Dr. Calmaestra (University of Córdoba) and Laura Sabaté (Barça Foundation). Institutions promoting bullying campaigns in the sports field participated disseminating their initiatives and proposals: B-resol, Fundació Barça, Fundación Andaluza de Baloncesto, Cádiz FC Fundación and Jero Garcia Fundación. The conference was closed with the corresponding conclusions and a dynamic performance by Dr. Evelyn Rios (IRE-UAB).
With this year's conference, the Network has consolidated with new members, and with a desire to promote and share new projects that deepen the study of bullying in sport.
The Bullying in Sports: Analysis and Good Practices (ByD) research network was created in 2021 with the purpose of facilitating exchange between researchers interested in the phenomenon and promoting the understanding and study of this problem.
The ByD Network integrates 12 researchers and academic collaborators from seven Spanish and Portuguese universities from different research groups: National Institute of Physical Education of Catalonia (University of Barcelona), the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the University of Girona, the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia, the University of Córdoba, the University of Seville, the European University of Lisbon, the Cardenal Spínola CEU University Studies Centre (attached to the University of Seville), and the Barça Foundation, as a collaborating entity. The network's activities receive financial support from the Higher Sports Council.
