After the success of the first edition, the UAB once again offers a course on entrepreneurship and businesses for PhD candidates and graduates entitled U2B: from University to Business.
The UAB now forms part of the new Young European Research Universities Network (YERUN), which includes eighteen centres with outstanding positions in international rankings of universities founded less than 50 years ago.
On 16 January the UAB opened the registration period for its 2015/16 official master's degrees. Over 100 academic programmes are offered in all areas of knowledge.
The European Research Council has awarded the grants to Caterina Calsamiglia (Department of Economics and Economic History - MOVE), Iñaki Permanyer (Centre for Demographic Studies) and Albert Quintana, (Department of Cell Biology, Physiology and Immunology and the Institute of Neuroscience).
All UAB centres will be closed from 22 December 2014 to 6 January 2015 although some services will be available.
