Ana Sánchez, enrolled in the PhD programme in Biotechnology, represented the UAB and became the winner of the "4 Minute Thesis" competition, which was held on 22 June in Barcelona. A total of 125 PhD candidates from all across Catalonia participated in the event, which was organised by the Catalan Research and Innovation Foundation.

The UAB, through the Observatory for Equality, is working on a model of restrooms that includes the identities and the different needs of everyone at the University, within the framework of the “UAB Diversa” (Diverse UAB) project. The report Review of the UAB rest room service with a gender perspective, which makes a preliminary diagnosis, has recently been presented.

The Faculty of Biosciences, together with the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), offers a new UAB-specific master's degree in science management, Master’s Degree in Health and Science Management, entirely in English, blended learning, which will begin its first edition next academic year 2022/2023. This Master’s degree has been approved by the UAB Governing Council, in a session held on April 28, 2022.
