Erasmus+

The Erasmus+ Programme enables students to spend an academic period at a university in an EU member state or in a third country associated with the Programme (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway), as well as in the Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkey.

The recognition of studies will be carried out through the Learning Agreement (study agreement), which the student must have agreed upon with the exchange coordinator at their home institution before departure.

Each academic year opens a joint call for applications for both the Erasmus+ Programme and the UAB Exchange Programme, available to UAB students.

The financial aid varies depending on the destination country, ranging from €250 to €350 per month. Students receive 70% of the amount upon arrival at their destination and the remaining 30% upon completion of their stay.

Moreover, there are additional grants available for students with fewer opportunities, as well as additional scholarships (Santander Erasmus Scholarships, MOBINT – AGAUR Scholarships) that students can apply for.

Students pay the tuition fees at their home university and enjoy free enrolment at the host institution (unless otherwise specified), where they are entitled to the same services as local students under the same conditions. The host university must provide the necessary information about the courses offered, accommodation options, and registration procedures.
