The Government of Catalonia has activated its civil protection plan for emergency weather, VENTCAT, due to the episodes of strong winds forecast for the eastern half of the country, which also affects the UAB campus. Winds will remain strong throughout the day and will affect the greater part of Catalonia.

During the episodes of strong winds, it is recommended to stay indoors and take precautions when travelling for business or leisure reasons. Civil Protection requests that citizens use extreme caution when travelling and during outdoor activities, due to the possibility of fallen branches, trees and other structural elements. During stronger gusts of wind, avoid remaining too close to enclosure walls or similar elements which can fall due to the strength of the wind. All external objects are also recommended to be either brought in or safely fastened to avoid any accidents.
