United Nations seeks to incorporate young professionals

United Nations has begun an initiative called Young Professionals Programme (YPP) with the aim of attracting highly qualified candidates interested in forming part of the UN.

The YPP aims to hire new talent to work in the United Nations through a selection process permitting highly qualified young professionals from around the world to begin a career in public service within the institution.

The 2012 selection process will focus on young talents from the fields of architecture, economics. information technology, politics, radiophonic production and social issues. In each of these fields, professionals will have a wide range of responsibilities and tasks to choose from (more information below). Candidates may be sent to Vienna, Santiago de Chile, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Bangkok, New York, Geneva, etc.

Applicants must be university graduates and must have adequate knowledge of one of the two official languages of the United Nations, English and French; applicants interested in radiophonic productions must also have knowledge of Portuguese and Swahili. Professional experience however is not a requirement.
