UAB offers courses in professional English

Starting in 2011/12 UAB will be offering a Minor in Professional English Studies for students looking to complement their studies with a diploma in advanced professional English. The programme will be offered by the Department in English and German Studies.

UAB currently offers similar studies in English, but in 2011/12 the Minor in Professional English Studies will be fully adapted to the European Higher Education Area.

Undergraduate students beginning their second year of university and interested in this minor can enrol in 2010/11 in a bridging course in preparation for the Minor in Professional English Studies in 2011/12. Credits obtained will go towards the European Diploma Supplement (DS). Places are limited and candidates will be selected after passing an exam.

Students enrolled in non-EHEA degrees (llicenciatura) will be directly accepted to the minor after demonstrating an adequate level of the language.

Classes will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:15pm to 3:15pm and from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Students have until 22 September to pre-enrol (online form). The entrance exam will take place on 23 September and classes begin on 14 October.
