The UAB participates in the 2nd HEIRRI Conference

The UAB was one of the organisations participating in the 2nd HEIRRI Conference, that this year was held in Vienna.

In the conference entitled “Education towards a responsible society, transforming universities through RRI”, the participants shared the results of the experiences implemented with the materials created for the HEIRRI project, a project aiming to promote integration of Responsible Research and Innovation amongst researchers.

European and non-European high-level education representatives shared their experiences through keynote talks, parallel thematic sessions, RRI initiatives speed dating and a poster session. With the talk "Bringing RRI into your own daily practice", the UAB presented the challenges and benefits of the two pilot trials driven by the institution: "Responsible PhD: Integrating Responsible Research and Innovation in PhD Research" and "Facilitating Reflection on Responsible Research and Innovation”.

RRI offers a framework in which the Research and Innovation system can respond to societal issues in an ethical, transparent and inclusive way, allowing for the engagement of stakeholders to dialogue and encouraging reflection.
