The UAB attends the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE 2024)

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) was present at the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2024 Conference, which took place in Perth, Australia, from March 4 to March 8.

The UAB delegation conducted visits to some of the associated universities in Singapore before the APAIE event. Additionally, they will visit other associated universities in Australia subsequently.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) has participated in the Study in Catalonia booth, which brought together all Catalan universities. The UAB showcased various internationalization programs, including the UAB Barcelona Summer SchoolInternational Tracks, microcredentials, and the ECIU University. These meetings aim to expand the portfolio of strategic universities in the region and enhance collaboration in teaching and research.

During the APAIE, the previous visits in Singapore and the ones scheduled in Australia, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) will have a full agenda of meetings with more than 30 strategic universities and institutions (like the Association of Spanish Scientists and Academics in the region – SRAP), to establish institutional links and reinforce existing ones, especially in Asia, Canada, and Australia.

The delegation of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is led by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Màrius Martínez, the Director of the Area of International Relations (ARI), Katja Schustakowitz, and the Institutional Relations Officer of the ARI, Montserrat Alegre.
