Integrated Dance breaks barriers and prejudices.

The protagonists of the congress’ closing act arranged by Observatory for equality of the UAB will be the collective of the Integrated Dance Group Liant la Troca that will present the show P.I.B. These initials can have different meanings:“Producto interior bruto (Growth Domestic Product), Personal intimate and brutal, Inside Beauty Product and Personas iniciando un baile (People starting a dance)”.

The show is a celebration of the body and life addressed to all audiences, an integrated theatre-and-dance action. Additionally, the closing act will include a sample of the experience of the workshop at the UAB, organized together with the Association Kiakahart, and directed by Jordi Cortés. The participants are members of the Dance Group of the UAB, PIUNE (Public attention office of disability of the UAB), ADUAB (Pro disability of the UAB) and the company Liant la Troca themselves.

Free access limited to the capacity of the Theatre.
Access will be allowed until seating is complete and it will be attached to the availability of the Theatre after the Congress’ inscriptions.

What is the integrated dance?

Taking dance and movement as an element of work and creation, and all the experience of my almost-30-years-old career, we invite all these collectives of people with functional, psychological or sensorial diversity; dancing and performing arts professionals; non professionals; with or without experience to join us on this adventure, to create from the difference, from the singularity of the other, to reinvent our way to stand in this world and to create a new type of connections-relationships through the movement of our bodies, which move us.

Each person and each body is special, unique, genuine; it has a unique psychophysical essence, with its anatomical, physiological and emotional facts, and so, of course, a unique-original way to express themselves through dance.

There’s a fascinating long way to go and it’s sometimes hard, but we have to move, always forward and always evolving. Moving together, we are strong.
