The first issue of the UCITYLAB E-Magazine is out

The first issue of the UCITYLAB e-magazine, the publication of the Erasmus+ UniverCity Action Lab (UCITYLAB) project, has been published. This project aims to create a network of higher education institutions to face urban challenges together.

The UCITYLAB is a joint initiative of a European consortium of five public institutions of higher education from five different countries: the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Porto Business School, the University of Ljubljana and the Mines-Télécom Institute in Paris, which has the support from the Industry Innovation Network (UIIN).

The objective of the consortium is to foster collaboration between universities and cities to cope jointly with urban environmental, economic and social challenges.

The first issue of the UCITYLAB e-magazine includes the objectives of the project and the motivations of the organizations that are part of it.

These institutions, including the UAB, have been selected among different city organizations that already have an integrated urban renewal strategy and that work to address environmental, economic and social challenges. All the partners involved in the project have to position their cities and regions towards sustainable urban development and social entrepreneurship.
