Students Anna Vilà, Gorka Samaniego and Neus Galobardes win the University Debate League’s local round

Students Anna Vilà, Gorka Samaniego and Neus Galobardes won the local round of this year’s University Debate League. As champions, they will represent UAB in the final round that will take place in Universitat Abat Oliba CEU from 8 to 11 April.

Students Anna Vilà, Gorka Samaniego and Neus Galobardes won the local round of this year’s University Debate League, which started on 19 March and ended today, 21 March. The team will represent UAB in the final round of the league, which will take place in Universitat Abat Oliba from 8 to 11 April.

The event started with a speech in charge of doctor in Law by UAB and researcher at the Antígona Research Group, Noelia Igareda González, which was related to the topic which the nine teams discussed about: “Should surrogacy be legalised?”

The University Debate League, organised by Xarxa Vives d’Universitats, aims to encourage the use of the word among students through dialectical confrontation between different teams that have to defend a stance in or against a trending topic.
