Return of the MEMEnginy 2021 technology fair
After having to cancel the 2020 edition due to the health crisis, the eighth edition of the MEMEnginy fair has reinvented itself and will be back on Thursday 29 April, fully adapted to the new circumstances. The fair, which connects businesses with students and fosters the development of the latest technological innovations, is free and will be available online.
Leading innovative technology firms such as Amazon, Deloitte, Capgemini, Ernest & Young, Indra and HP will participate in the fair.
This past year has been exceptional due to the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The world came to a standstill in March 2020 and the MEMEnginy was no exception. The event was cancelled, but this also gave way to the NEXConf, a new online event offered in a television format which was celebrated from 7 to 9 October.
However, in 2021 the MEMEnginy is back and adapted to the new circumstances, with a new and renewed #MEMEnginy21 to be celebrated on 29 April. The fair will connect businesses and students in a digital environment. It will be a free, online fair with a series of events taking place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Over 1,000 people will be attending the long list of interviews and conferences being offered. The UAB's leading technology fair is also a cahnce to discovery the wide range of possibilities offered by the School of Engineering in this strategic industrial field.
There will be conferences, divided into sessions in which some of the leading innovative tech firms will explain their new projects to students. Among the firms participating are Amazon, Deloitte, Capgemini, Ernest & Young, Indra and HP.
There also will be virtual stands where attendants will be able to go into action and connect directly with firms through online calls. A unique opportunity to create synergies between the academic and professional worlds. For those interested in going more in-depth, special 1-on-1 interviews will be offered, a novel activity offered first in 2019 and which aims to provide an even closer communication opportunity for participants.
In order for attendants to prepare the event as well as possible, early training sessions were programmed to explain how to offer businesses a better professional profile.
