This year, due to the lockdown, as of the 13th March there has been any new registration of student societies in elDirectori. However, 78 associations have kept their activity during the academic year 2019/2020, 13 of them had registered between the 1st October 2019 and 13th  March 2020. As for the number of participants, the student societies all together reach a total of 2520 participants (70 more than last year). 1930 of them are students, 338 are UAB workers (university staff or professors) and 252 are Alumni (former UAB students). That means that there has been an increase of nearly 25% in the number of university workers participating in the UAB associations and an increase of 3% in the number of students, which is the more active sector in the university associations. Besides, we can observe that the number of international students (128) and first year-students (500) active in societies has been maintained.

Regarding the age of participants, the most common age ranges are again between 18-20 years (32%) and between 21-23 years (34%). This year, however, there has been a significant increase of the age range of 27 years or more (from 6% on average to 17% of this year).

Finally, regarding the participation by faculties, we can observe that in absolute numbers, the faculties with more active students in the student societies are Arts and Humanities (364), Sciences (322), Engineering School (224), Political Sciences and Sociology (194), and Translation and Interpreting (194). On the other hand, considering the total number of enrolled students in the centers, the faculties where there is the biggest percentage of students that participates in a student society registered in elDirectori are Political Sciences and Sociology (18,8%), Veterinary (16,4%), Translation and Interpreting (15,9%), Sciences (14,2%), and Arts and Humanities (12%).

As we can see the composition of the university associations is diverse and transversal, and it reaches all the university faculties, all university community sectors, and all age ranges.
