NexconfUAB

From 7 to 9 October the UAB celebrates #NEXConfUAB, a televisual and online space in which to discover and discuss the impact of technologies on today's post-covid society and facilitate contacts between students and the business ssector. Participants who sign up can follow the TV broadcasts and participate online.

30/09/2020

The event replaces the 2020 edition of the #MEMEnginy, the School of Engineering's technology and occupational fair, and also includes the inauguration of the new academic year, which this year cannot be held due to Covid-19. The first day will include an online interview with Ramón Vilanova, director of the School of Engineering.

NEXConfUAB will be broadcast as any other TV programme. It will be recorded in a studio created at the School of Engineering's OpenLab space with the collaboration of a team from the UAB's Campus Mèdia. The live show will offer demonstrations, interviews, conferences and debates, in addition to many other activities. At the same time, there will be personalised online occupational and professional work placement areas to make it easier for students to contact businesses they are interested in. The meeting will include the participation of the School of Engineering's student council, who will help with the broadcast, logistical aspects and organisation.

The inauguration will be led by Màrius Martínez, Vice Rector of International Relations and Students; Ramón Vilanova, Director of the School of Engineering; and Esther Pinyol, International Project Manager at Barcelona Digital Talent (MWC and Generalitat de Catalunya), who will give the inaugural conference.

All those interested in attending and participate in the event by streaming can sign up by filling out this form.
