Informative note from the governing team on classes during the 2020/21 academic year

Estudiants d'Enginyeria

The UAB has decided to begin the academic year with a teaching modality that includes as many face-to-face lectures as the circumstances permit, while another part of teaching will be organised online for all matters which cannot be conducted on campus.

The UAB is a university offering face-to-face teaching with a campus and facilities that, as a whole, make up an optimal environment for university life. This includes not only the academic, but also the social, cultural and participative aspects of university; aspects we have not been able to enjoy these past few months and which we aim to recover as soon as possible.

There is a probability that the current health emergency situation will not allow us to begin the next academic year with face-to-face classes. It is for this reason that the governing team, alongside the management teams of each teaching centre, has decided to begin the academic year with a teaching modality that includes as many face-to-face lectures as the circumstances permit, while another part of teaching will be organised online for all matters which cannot be conducted on campus.

The academic calendar and timetables have been prepared in a manner that  100% face-to-face teaching will be offered as soon as it is once again possible, to the extent permitted by the circumstances. Under this context, priority will be given to activities with a high practical and interpersonal component, such as practical classes, laboratory work and seminars.

Special in-person attention will be given to first-year students and those about to complete their studies. Particular care will also be taken to help students who find themselves in difficult situations.
