The registration numbers are exceeding pre-pandemic editions. It is a consequence of resuming on-site activities, the regain of confidence and the increasing demand for study abroad options.

Study Abroad Summer 2022

The Pre-Established Programmes are designed for international students wishing to stay in Barcelona and study subjects taught in English or Spanish with the option of Spanish and Catalan language courses.

The May and Summer programmes are, respectively, an academic stay for 3 and 6 weeks, which students can combine in a single 9-week period.

The 3-week May programme starts on 16 May and is back to pre-pandemic registration levels with currently 40 students. These students, who can choose a 6 ECTS subject among different options in the fields of art and humanities, and culture and marketing, will finish their stay on 2 June.

Summer programme registrations are at an all time high with over 450 students registered for the six week programmes in June and July, beginning on 7 June, exceeding pre-pandemic year numbers. This clearly shows the return of students from the United States and the increasing interest of students from our partner in Egypt: the American University of Cairo. The most popular subjects are related to Business and Marketing, and to Spanish Art and Culture. On 14 July, at the height of the summer season, the students will finish their stay in Barcelona.

Classes take place in Casa Convalescència, UAB's main location in Barcelona, and will be 100% on-site, as it was in this year's Spring semester, the first one after COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. Some courses will include field trips to better experience both Barcelona and Catalonia's art and culture.

See here what our students have to say about their experience in the Spring 2022 programme.
