These special aids are aimed at students with difficulties in following online classes dues to the lack of computers and/or online connectivity.
Those applying for an aid must be students enrolled in an official academic programme at the UAB, not have computer equipment and/or connection to the internet with which to follow online classes during the remainder of the second semester of this academic year, as well as have received for this year a general study grant (Spanish Ministry), an income bracket 1 Equity grant (AGAUR) or an emergency grant (UAB).
The aid will last during the second semester of the 2019/20 academic year and applications will be accepted from 3 to 15 April by sending an e-mail to the following address: coordinacio.beques@uab.cat. Only applications sent from an official UAB e-mail address will be accepted.
Two types of aids are offered, and students may apply for both of them: one consists in a loan of basic computer material, and the other gives access to a basic online connection through a SIM card device.
Applications will be considered by a committee for emergency situations at the UAB for this 201)/20 year, which will hold an extraordinary session to decided on the granting of these aids.
