Chemical Analysis Service awarded the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 quality certificate

The Chemical Analysis Service (SAQ) is one of UAB's scientific and technical services. Founded in 1990, its main objective is to offer support to the University's scientific community, while also collaborating with other public and private institutions to meet the analytical needs of research and business projects. The SAQ conducts chemical analyses with a variety of materials, both in research and in the control of raw materials; it offers assessment when solving analytical problems, it develops and validates specific procedures and participates in academic activities at both the University and other external centres.

The commitment of the entire SAQ team has resulted in the implementation of a quality management system in these past few years. The quality of the results generated and the service offered has led this scientific and technical service to pass AENOR's ISO 9001:2015 quality certificate audit.

The certificate obtained accredits thte interest and firm commitment of the SAQ to provide maximum client satisfaction through a quality management system which guarantees all services are of the highest quality and meet the requirements of their clients.

The certification of their services include conducting chemical analyses (atomic and molecular spectroscopy, gas and liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and CHNS elemental organic analysis) as well as providing self-service equipment and spaces.
