Call open for substitute lecturers for the 2023/24 academic year
The UAB opens a call for substitute lecturers in all areas of knowledge. The call aims to equip the university with candidates for the new figure of substitute lecturer who can cover the tasks of those reducing their teaching hours or other needs that may appear throughout the academic year. Applications can be submitted from 8 to 16 June.
The entry into force of the Organic Law on the University System (LOSU) has brought about significant changes in the recruitment of teaching staff for the 2023/24 academic year. One of the main novelties is the incorporation of substitute lecturers, which is the figure that universities must use to cover the teaching potential freed up by permanent lecturers who temporarily suspend their services due to applying for leaves of absence, licences or administrative situations, or other situations that imply a reduction in their teaching activity. For this reason, the UAB opens a call for applications to select substitute teaching staff. From 8 to 16 June, teachers who wish to apply for a substitute contract can present their candidature on the following website: https://seleccio.uab.cat.
Candidates may apply in one or more areas of knowledge, and the only admission requirements are a university degree or equivalent related to the area of knowledge and a C certificate in Catalan (or equivalent level). If the candidate does not have the Catalan certificate, he/she will have a moratorium of one year to accredit it once he/she has been recruited. A pool will be created for each area, and the first recruitments will be made to coincide with the start of the 2023/24 academic year. The pool will also be used to cover possible replacements during the academic year.
The contracts will be part-time, exclusively for teaching and with a dedication of between 6 and 24 credits.
