Avian Influenza Vocabulary

21/01/2010
The Pan-Latin Avian Influenza Vocabulary is a multilingual glossary of 72 terms related to avian influenza in English, Spanish, French, Galician, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian and Catalan, which has just been published by the Office Québécois de la Langue Française (OQLF). The Language Service of the UAB undertook to produce the Catalan part for which Dr Natàlia Majó, of the Area of Animal Health of the Department of Animal Health and Anatomy acted as specialist advisor.
The pan-Latin vocabularies that have been produced are the result of the work of Realiter, a terminology network bringing together individuals, institutions and organisations from neo-Latin-language countries who are actively working on terminology projects. It works in Catalan, Spanish,French, Galician, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian. The Language Service has already produced vocabularies of Catalan terms for the Pan-Latin Geomatics Vocabulary, also published by the OQLF. You can download these vocabularies from the OQLF website.
