Are you looking for an experience full of emotions and solidarity?
Do you want to have an experience on the field of international solidarity and you are not sure how to find it? Have you heard about some organizations but still have doubts? On Wednesday 2 March Setem, SCI, COCAT and Associació Catalana per la Pau will be at the UAB to explain their opportunities for solidarity stays in countries of the South.

This year, Setem, Servei Civil Internacional, COCAT and Associació Catalana per la Pau will be at the Sala d'Actes of the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology on 2 March at 12.30 pm to present their opportunities for solidarity stays and their characteristics (type, countries, length, requirements and expenses). The stays are labour camps, accompaniment brigades and similar initiatives in countries of South America, Africa and Asia.
Participating in a solidarity stay is an opportunity to get close to other realities, take off the "glasses" that we usually wear and understand the great diversity of points of view that exist in the world. You will listen to other voices, find out about organizations in the South and help in their fights. You can have a learning experience with people who also want to share and live the same experience.
In order to understand better the essence of solidarity stays it is important to have a previous training on basic areas of development cooperation. The FAS offers the summer workshop "Introducció a la Cooperació per al Desenvolupament. Eines cap a la transformació social", recognized with ECTS. (Information about the workshop will be available in May).
