The UAB has published its third continuing education programme for 2025, aimed at both teaching and research staff (PDI) and technical, management, administrative, and service staff (PTGAS). This new programme includes more than 110 training activities that can be completed until 30 January 2026. The deadline for submitting applications is 19 September.

The programmes offered have been designed to meet the professional needs of both teaching and research staff and administrative and technical staff, with a wide variety of topics, formats, and schedules (to facilitate work-life balance, afternoon training and asynchronous virtual modalities are included). Some activities are aimed at both groups, such as those related to gender perspective, digital skills, occupational risk prevention, and research projects. These common lines respond to cross-cutting areas of institutional and professional development.

The programme for teaching and research staff includes training in artificial intelligence, innovative methodologies, tools, and skills for teaching, university management, and research. The programme for administrative and technical staff covers topics such as artificial intelligence, libraries, languages, self-management, management skills, and academic issues.

According to José Luís Muñoz, Vice-Rector for Training and Teaching Innovation at the UAB, “this training programme represents a clear commitment to the professional development and updating of teaching and research staff and administrative and technical staff. It is a way of recognising their work and providing them with useful tools to face the challenges of their daily lives”. The vice-rector emphasised that “continuing education is a central element in improving professional practices and consolidating a university that is constantly learning and advancing".
