Last 20th of May took place the day about: What can the university before the rise of fascism? with the participation of entities, academics and students who fight to eradicate fascism and racism.
Rising fascist political alternatives that aim to establish a unique system for segregating and a particular group of citizens concerned about the university community and institutions fighting against any kind of discrimination. Given the attitude of Fascism rejects the heterogeneity and diversity, the conference focused on issues related to filofascistas looks: racism and xenophobia, homophobia, and transphobia lesbophobia and strategies used by these groups to get their objectives.

The day What can the university before the rise of fascism? aimed to share experiences of integration and fight against discrimination and articulate a unified response of rejection attitudes and fascist groups from the university. These experiences are developed in different contexts and therefore, throughout the day there was a diverse representation thereof.

The day was structured in two areas of debate in Building and Community Participation in the Plaza Civic action. In the first of these tables academic and social projects combating discrimination were presented from different perspectives. From an academic standpoint, Bereményi Abel, associate professor and postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at UAB and a member of the research group EMIGRA, along with student and research fellow international project exposed Castellsagué Alba Roma rights and Discrimination , and took the opportunity to reflect on prejudice and lack of knowledge towards the Roma population.

Then, members of the association the Teatre Xixa shared their experiences of integration through the use of theater of the oppressed in youth contexts and diversity. Then he attended David Karvala spokesman unity against fascism and racism and prominent social activist. This space is reflected on the political identification of fascist groups and the danger they pose to the collective and individual freedoms. Strategies that these groups hold to have a presence in college and how you can avoid intrusion were also noted. Result of this meeting, the students proposed to redo a new day in the month of November, due to the interest aroused by these issues within the university community.

Finally, the day concluded with the Civic We act a free-discrimination which was attended by members of the LGBT movement and ending with a painting collective action among all the inverted pink triangle, a symbol of discrimination-free zones.
