Yago Ramis's participation in Brasília reinforces the leadership of IRE-UAB and GEPE in research on family support and dual career pathways.

Yago Ramis participated as an invited speaker at the 5th International Seminar on Dual Career (V SIDuCa), held from August 31 to September 2, 2026, at the Universidade de Brasília (UnB), Brazil. The event, organized by the Brazilian Dual Career Association (ABDC) under the leadership of Professor Felipe Rodrigues da Costa, brought together researchers, sports managers, athletes, and practitioners to discuss the present and future of dual careers across sport sciences, physical education, sport psychology, and sport management.

During the working sessions, Yago Ramis presented the latest research findings on the role of families in supporting student-athletes (Parenting Student-Athletes), carried out within the framework of the HENAC and HEDUCA projects. Dr. Cristina López de Subijana, a researcher within these projects, complemented the presentation with recent research on transitions into elite sports. These lectures align with the official European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC) position statement on dual careers in Europe, underlining the importance of supporting athletes' immediate environments to ensure healthy and fulfilling personal and academic pathways.

The fifth edition of SIDuCa established itself as a key forum for cooperation among science, education, and public policy, addressing core themes such as career transitions, migration in sports, gender perspectives, access to higher education, and international comprehensive support models.
