The Good Game project provides data in Castellón to address toxicity and stress within the electronic sports competitive environment.

Participation in this event, held in Castellón de la Plana, served to expose psychosocial risk factors in the eSports ecosystem to develop psychoeducational interventions for e-athletes. Given the growth of this industry, researchers Andrés Chamarro, Iván Bonilla, and Adrián Díaz provide data to manage stress and the specific demands of digital competition.

During the congress, the team coordinated a symposium where the presentation “Tilt y toxicidad en esports: asociaciones con el trastorno por juego en internet” was delivered. In this session, Adrián Díaz-Moreno, Iván Bonilla, and Andrés Chamarro detailed the tilt phenomenon —a state of frustration and loss of control— and its relationship with internet gaming disorder. The study indicates that the impact of these behaviors on mental health requires analysis to promote healthy gaming environments.

Additionally, the scientific poster “Mental Health Indicators in Spanish-speaking esports players” was presented, a multidisciplinary work that allows for the monitoring of the psychological state of digital athletes. With these contributions, the Good Game project contributes to the promotion of mental health and risk prevention within the European eSports ecosystem.
