Matheus Castro, a Journalism graduate from Faculdade Cásper Líbero in Sao Paulo and current student of the Master’s in Digital Content Innovation at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, has begun his internship at the Olympic Studies Centre (CEO-UAB). With a solid career at ESPN Brazil since 2017, Matheus has experience covering top-level international events such as the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the 2025 French Open at Roland Garros.

During his stay at CEO-UAB, within the framework of IRE-UAB, the Brazilian journalist is carrying out key tasks for the center's digital transformation. His main role focuses on the migration to the new website, working on adapting content across the three official languages into a more modern site fully integrated into the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona's digital ecosystem. Additionally, Matheus collaborates closely on defining communication strategies and creating content for the center's social media platforms.

This stay aligns with his Master's academic research, which investigates the impact of Artificial Intelligence on journalistic routines, specifically in the coverage of major sporting events. Passionate about the Olympic Movement since childhood, his profile fits perfectly with the center's mission.
