IRE researcher Marc Guillem visits Chiclayo to participate in the NeuroSummit Educativo 2026
Chiclayo recently hosted an intensive day of educational workshops where Marc Guillem Molins, a researcher at the Institut de Recerca de l'Esport (IRE), played a leading role.

The NeuroSummit 2026 in Chiclayo served as a platform for Marc Guillem to share strategies on how bodily movement enhances cognitive abilities in the classroom.
During the hands-on sessions, the IRE researcher illustrated how play and physical activity act as powerful drivers for classroom inclusion and academic success. Working alongside international experts such as Anna Forés and Jesús C. Guillén, Marc Guillem explained that movement is a core component of the learning process, directly influencing how students retain information and develop creativity.
Marc Guillem shared strategies on how movement improves cognitive abilities through the conference "Mueve tu mente" and the Neurotalk "Moverse para aprender". Working alongside experts such as Anna Forés and Jesús C. Guillén, he demonstrated to teachers that physical activity is not just a necessary break, but the vehicle that allows for deeper information processing and improved attention and memory.
The stay went beyond the keynote speeches, including visits to various educational institutions and participation in the "Diálogo y aportes para el desarrollo del distrito Lurigancho-Chosica". This collaboration with local entities provided a first-hand experience of how neuroscientific evidence applied to school sports improves student motivation. Through these sessions and visits, the IRE researcher emphasized the role of play as a fundamental tool for inclusion in child and adolescent development.
