eSports debated at the Fes-te Salut Fair in Manresa with participation from IRE-UAB
Researchers from the Erasmus+ Sport project “The Good Game: Promoting Mental Health in eSports” engaged with more than a thousand adolescents to address the mental health challenges posed by competitive video gaming.

The Fes-te Salut Fair, a pioneering event dedicated to promoting emotional well-being among young people, featured a notable contribution from the Institute of Sports Research (IRE) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). .
Through workshops and interactive discussion spaces, attendees examined how competitive pressure, excessive screen time, and limited emotional regulation can impact the well-being of young gamers. The project’s presence at the fair helped raise awareness about the need to foster healthy habits within digital and interactive entertainment environments.
With this initiative, IRE-UAB continues its commitment to research and knowledge transfer on pressing youth-related issues, particularly in the intersection of mental health, physical activity, and sports.
