Screening of The Tobacconist (Der trafikant, 2018), by Nikolaus Leytner
Description:
Franz is a 17-year-old boy who travels to Vienna to become an apprentice in a tobacco company. There, he gets to know Sigmund Freud - the famous psychologist. Both begin to develop a very peculiar friendship. When Franz falls in love with Anezka, an attractive dancer, he asks Freud for advice who, in fact, has the same experience in that field as the young apprentice. In an Austria that is about to change forever, this unique trio will face some events for which they are not prepared.

"Let Democracy Enter The Companies". The construction of the Workers' Commissions (CC.OO.) during the Spanish Transition and in Democracy (1976-1989)

Next session of the permanent course of the Research Group on the Franco Era (GREF-CEDID) will take place in the meeting room of the Deanery of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts at 4 p.m. The course will be given by Joan Gimeno Igual, researcher at the GREF-CEDID, with the title of "Let Democracy Enter The Companies. The construction of the Workers' Commissions (CC.OO.) during the Spanish Transition and in Democracy (1976-1989)".

The UAB ends the celebration of its 50th anniversary with a closure party
Description:
On 6 May at the Plaça Académica (in front of the Rectorate building) a closure party will take place in order to end the celebrations of the UAB's 50th anniversary. There will be a concert by the band Bazaga's, who will play British music from the 1980s. There will also be food trucks and music from a DJ before the show. Tickets cost 10 € per person and include one plate of food, dessert, one drink and an institutional cup. The capacity is limited and the deadline to sign up is 30 May. The sign up will be via bank transfer or a deposit on the following CaixaBank account: ES95 2100 5000 5202 0023 8044 (concept: PARTY 6 JUNE + NAME AND SURNAME of the person who makes the diposit + number of tickets. (There is no need to make a deposit for each ticket if it is a group buying.)
