Castellers' performance

🏰 During your Summer School, you'll have a unique opportunity to see one of Catalonia's most iconic traditions with Ganàpies de la UAB—the first university-affiliated colla castellera in Catalonia, founded in 1994. For over 25 years, this student team has been breaking barriers between academics and cultural immersion by building castells (human towers) while fostering an inclusive community across campus.

What is a Castell? Imagine stacking people like a living pyramid—balanced, trusting, and working together as one team. It's more than strength; it's about courage, coordination, and collective spirit. Whether you're participating or cheering from the ground (pinya), you'll feel the energy of this UNESCO-recognized tradition come alive.
