Silvia de Bianchi receives a Starting Grant
Silvia de Bianchi, lecturer and Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Department of Philosophy, will be receiving one of this year's European Research Council's Starting Grants conferred onto young and early-career researchers.

The UAB improves its position in the Times Higher Education ranking
The UAB ranks 147 in this year's edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It is up 16 positions from last year's 163. The university improves its position in aspects such as citations, international outlook, and teaching.
Five UAB students among the world's silver medalists in water polo
Five members of the Spanish water polo team, who have just won silver in the World Championships, are students at the UAB and form part of the Tutoresport Programme: Anna and Clara Espar, Beatriz and Matilde Ortiz and Laura Ester.

International consolidation of La Draga's archaeological importance
This year 150 pillars have been recovered, some of them in an extraordinary state of conservation, which makes this Neolithic site a unique example of wooden architecture. Currently in the process of being declared a cultural site of natural interest, La Draga will be the central theme of an exhibition at the Archaeological Museum of Catalonia.
