Six pianos in six different places on campus will be seen on 17 and 18 April. They will be available for anyone interested in playing the piano and filling the UAB campus with music! The initiative forms part of the 50th anniversary celebrations at the UAB.
The UAB has opened a new call for application for language grants for different purposes among the university community: language learning, correction of teaching materials or organisation of seminars and conferences.
This is the first time the exhibition is shown outside of a museum and contains some eighty pieces from 11 different museums of Catalonia which focus on sexuality in Roman society.
A research conducted in collaboration with the UAB at the Aranbaltza site in the Basque Country reveals the existence of 90,000-year-old tools built by Neanderthals, the oldest samples of Neanderthal-built tools ever found in the Iberian Peninsula. The study was recently published in the journal PLOS ONE.
In April, we will be running new courses aimed at helping you write your doctoral thesis in English or Catalan. To enrol in the course, please come to our offices at least two working days before the course starts.
Different events such as a popular walk, debates, concerts, book presentations, etc. will take place in celebration of the university's 50th anniversary and lead up to the main event on 6 June, a celebration dinner at the SAF building.
The UAB opens a new period in which members of the univeristy community can participate in the “Bike to the UAB” challenge. All kilometres biked by participants from 15 February to 15 March will be registered.
The UAB will celebrate its 9th Health and Sustainability Week from 16 to 20 April: over 50 activities (workshops, conferences, races, sports, and many more) open to all members of the university community with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle. On Wednesday and Thursday there will also be food trucks and live music.
