Recovering Memory with AI: The Project Linking the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives (UAB) to the Team Impact Award 2026.

This summer, the Humanities Library presents four exhibitions that invite visitors to reflect, discover, and engage in dialogue between artistic creation, critical thinking, and academic research.

The exhibition, located in the display cases on floor 0 of the Social Sciences Library, is the final event in the “Literature and Tourism” series and coincides with the celebration of Bloomsday.

The jury of the XXV Premis Connexió, organised by the Federació Catalana d’Empreses de Telecomunicacions (FECEMINTE), has awarded the UAB’s Arxiu Sonor de Ràdio a Catalunya project in the category of Institutional Initiative. The award, presented on 19 May, acknowledges the creation of an innovative project with social impact that preserves and disseminates the radiophonic heritage of Catalonia through the cataloguing of audio fragments, openly available to users.

From 26 to 29 May, new edition of sessions of tabletop role-playing games, organized by the UAB Role Playing Club and the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives and open to the entire university community.

This month, the exhibition spaces across the library’s two buildings become a cultural meeting point with three proposals that invite reflection and discovery. 

The initiative, part of the Virtual Reading Club “Òrbita Lectora” and organised by the Humanities Library, proposes an interdisciplinary reflection on the relationship between technology and society through literature and robotics.

Libraries from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona took part in the 1st CLARIAH-ES Libraries Workshop held in Madrid, where they presented two initiatives showing how university libraries are becoming key actors in the development of digital infrastructures and the promotion of Open Science.
