This summer, the Humanities Library presents four exhibitions that invite visitors to reflect, discover, and engage in dialogue between artistic creation, critical thinking, and academic research.

The exhibition, located in the display cases on floor 0 of the Social Sciences Library, is the final event in the “Literature and Tourism” series and coincides with the celebration of Bloomsday.

During the 2025/26 academic year, UAB Libraries have once again participated in the project “Tocar la història“, an initiative that brings documentary heritage into the classroom.

The UAB Humanities Library and Science and Technology Library will take part in the 18th Catalan Information and Documentation Conference, held on 4–5 June 2026 at the Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media of the University of Barcelona.

The Social Sciences Library presents a bibliographic exhibition about the donation of books from the ISOR research group, which can be visited from June 1 to July 24, and which highlights the value of the funds donated by this research group.

The UAB Libraries are extending loan periods during the summer. Check the dates from which borrowed items must be returned on 15 September 2026.

The Humanities Library and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the UAB are organising the second session of their book presentation series with The Paintings of Sixena: A Fire That Still Burns, by Albert Velasco.

The jury of the XXV Premis Connexió, organised by the Federació Catalana d’Empreses de Telecomunicacions (FECEMINTE), has awarded the UAB’s Arxiu Sonor de Ràdio a Catalunya project in the category of Institutional Initiative. The award, presented on 19 May, acknowledges the creation of an innovative project with social impact that preserves and disseminates the radiophonic heritage of Catalonia through the cataloguing of audio fragments, openly available to users.

From 26 to 29 May, new edition of sessions of tabletop role-playing games, organized by the UAB Role Playing Club and the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives and open to the entire university community.

The Humanities Library and the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts will launch a new series on 11 May aimed at showcasing the scientific output of academic staff. The first session will focus on the book Peer Interaction in the Foreign Language Classroom, by Elisabet Pladevall-Ballester.
