UAB Libraries take part in Research Night
On the Friday in October, from 5 to 10 p.m., the European Research Night will be held at the UAB, an event aimed at bringing science and research closer to the public. The UAB Libraries will be taking part with a range of activities.
Visitors will be able to try out virtual reality headsets and immerse themselves in surprising experiences. With the HoneyBee VR application, they will be able to discover the world from inside a beehive and experience first-hand what life is like for a bee.
They will also be able to enjoy Mission: ISS, an experience that offers a space adventure and allows participants to experience the effects of gravity inside a capsule. This activity is recommended for ages 12 and over.
In addition, there will be a selection of science-themed board games for all ages, offering a fun and interactive way to explore science.
