Donations
The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has built significant collections across various disciplines, thanks to numerous donations. The University deeply values these contributions, recognising them as essential in enriching and shaping its academic and research resources.
As a general rule, our libraries accept donations of documents that are in good physical condition and relevant to the teaching and research activities at the UAB.
Our libraries reserve the right not to accept certain donations, as well as not to incorporate into their collections documents received that have the following characteristics:
-
Duplicate documents already held by the UAB or the CCUC (University Union Catalogue of Catalonia), where demand or physical condition do not justify the need for additional copies.
-
Documents in poor condition.
-
Documents outside the scope of teaching and research at the UAB.
-
Documents with outdated content or formats, replaced by more recent publications.
-
Incomplete works or those that do not complement existing collections at the UAB.
-
Unpublished materials (such as research papers or photocopies) and popular literature found in newsagents.
-
Documents (monographs and/or journals) that are freely available online.
Your proposal will be reviewed, and we will respond as promptly as possible.
