The event was inaugurated by María Jaén Barandiarán, president of Helsinki Spain, and by Ricardo Esteban, dean of the Faculty of Law.

The round table, focused on the role of Spain and the EU in the architecture of European security, was attended by Alejandro Rubiella Romaachach, director of communication, press and institutional relations of the Army of the Earth; Joaquim LLimona; and Joaquín Rodríguez Álvarez, professor at the UAB and expert in security.

Later, Christian Ricós Sevilla, an expert in radicalization and terrorism, gave a conference on international terrorism and threats to international security, which gave way to a debate with the audience.

The conference is part of the complementary activities program of the Master's Degree in European Integration and has allowed us to deepen the current challenges of European security and defence policy from an academic and institutional perspective.

Likewise, as part of the session, a contest has been organized among the participating students -mostly of the Master's degree-, which will reward one of the participants with a trip to Brussels to visit NATO, promoting direct knowledge of international institutions linked to security and defense.

From the Faculty of Law we want to thank Helsinki Spain especially for its involvement and the co-organization of this day.
