Sociological Research Centre on Everyday Life and Work

The Centre d’Estudis Sociològics sobre la Vida Quotidiana i el Treball (QUIT) - Sociological Research Centre on Everyday Life and Work was formally established in 1991 and recognised as a CER (Centre for Studies and Research) in 2003. It has been recognised as a Consolidated Research Group (GRC) since 1996 and is currently recognised within the SGR-Cat programme as 2021SGR00180.

QUIT’s research interests cover a broad range of topics, including social time and its relationship with individual time use; transformations in employment, the labour market and employment relations; employment trajectories among groups experiencing inequalities in the labour market; policies aimed at reconciling paid work with unpaid domestic and care work; and gender inequalities and their impact on work and everyday life.
