Work sessions with students begin within the ISC2 Bibliolab project

Three groups of high school students from the Vallès Occidental will participate in workshops to improve their research skills.

The high school students of institutes Leonardo Da Vinci (Sant Cugat del Vallès), Escola Industrial (Sabadell) and Forat del Vent (Cerdanyola del Vallès) will attend this May some training workshops framed within the ISC2 Bibliolab project. These workshops seek to improve the students’ skills to carry out their last year’s research project. They will also bring the students closer to Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), train them in bibliographic search and reinforce their skills in digital tools.

This initiative is the third phase of a training programme that, during March and April, also involved librarians and teachers, who were able to attend co-creation, citizen science and RRI workshops with the aim of defining the new role of public libraries in a collaborative way. With the incorporation of students, they are intended to acquire the tools and capabilities to present a high quality research project, benefiting from the open science and innovation context that the public library provides in its new role.
